GoChi™ and Himalayan Goji® Juice
- Q. Does FreeLife® own the farms and facilities where its Himalayan Goji Juice is made?
- A. No, we work closely with a network of expert specialists. In Asia, we rely on local farmers to ensure that the goji berries we use meet our exacting standards for quality under responsible farming practices. We work with processors to produce GoChi and Himalayan Goji Juice, and suppliers who can provide pharmaceutical-grade materials to package it in. Then we use a group of companies to store, ship, and deliver our products on time and in good condition. Over the years, we have formed close, and in many cases, long-term relationships with these partners, who have a record of consistent quality and performance.
- Q. How does FreeLife ensure GoChi and Himalayan Goji Juice product quality when it doesn’t control the farming, manufacturing, and distribution processes?
- A. We have strict policies and procedures, and work closely with the specialists we have carefully selected to partner with us. In many cases, we’ve had a business relationship with these specialists for years, so we have a clear understanding of their capabilities, and they know our expectations and standards. We also test quality at key stages in the process, including one in which we examine the Spectral Signature® of the goji berries selected for GoChi and Himalayan Goji Juice. Finally, we comply with all health, manufacturing, distribution, and registration regulations in the countries where we sell our products.
- Q. What research is there on the health benefits of the unique polysaccharides—the key ingredient in GoChi and Himalayan Goji Juice?
- A. Research on goji’s polysaccharides is ongoing. Today, you can find more than 80 studies on the goji berry (including a number of new ones in the past 12 months) on a U.S. government sponsored website by visiting www.pubmed.gov and typing in Lycium barbarum (Latin for goji). Additionally, in three recent randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, human clinical trials, GoChi™ proved extremely effective for human health in 19 key areas. The 19 benefits identified in FreeLife’s three GoChi studies have been collectively termed The GoChi Effect™.
